Course Analysis & Overview (Final Project)
This final project training course is based on the subject of Emotional Intelligence (EQ). It is designed for Daily Operations Leaders (supervisors and above). EQ is even more important than IQ in the workplace (and in life). For service industry leaders, it is imperative to be able to effectively communicate with: those who report to you, who you report to AND your guests.
Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to identify core human emotions, identify their own emotions as they feel them, develop personalized strategies to practice and improve their EQ and select an EQ mentor that will be able to assist them in their continued efforts to increase their personal and social competency scores.
The learners for this course:
This course will be delivered online through an internal LMS.
The initial pilot was in-person, but due to the number of participants anticipated once other review category levels are included, it is cost prohibitive to conduct the training in a face-to-face classroom setting. It will be a challenge to convert the activities to an online format.
Another challenge will be with the timing of the two components. They are currently designed to be taken within two weeks of each other. If too much time transpires in-between sessions the momentum may be lost. The learners all work in a fast-paced environment and it will be easy to get sidetracked and not complete the training within the designated time-frame when it is online instruction.
