Overview: EDUC 767 Designing Computer-Based Training (CBT)
Based on the projects and activities in the previous two courses, the final project for EDUC 767 is a stand-alone online training module known as a Reusable Learning Object (RLO). Students were expected to use the instructional design process for the design of the content. This is the third course in the Instructional Design Certificate Program. There were eight (8) modules that were completed over an eight week period.
The module I developed is on the the topic of Emotional Intelligence - Self-Awareness. It is self-paced (or asynchronous), SCORM and ADA compliant. The artifacts listed for review include the design document, flowchart, storyboards, usability testing and a link to the finalized RLO.
In order to meet the demands of the modern workforce and numerous branch locations, the emotional intelligence project that I started back in course one is in the process of being turned into an online course. This project is step one. Due to the time constraints, the first of four modules was created in this class. It will serve as a framework for the three remaining competencies (self-management, social awareness and relationship management).
